Join us for the 2025 Appleton Christmas Parade on Tuesday, November 25!
All current and prospective club members are welcome; only approved members may bring your dogs (for insurance reasons). We can always use dog-free people to carry the banner, walk extra dogs, and just be part of the group and wave to the crowd. (This is “the biggest and the best nighttime Christmas parade in the Midwest,” with 80,000 spectators and TV coverage!) The theme of this year’s parade is “Christmas in Toyland.”
Our unit number is 20, and we will be lining up on the east side of State Street just south of College Avenue, between College and Lawrence. The parade route is College Avenue from State Street to Drew Street.
Rules:
* Only 6-foot or shorter leashes are allowed.
* Dress up yourselves and your dogs in Christmas gear, battery-operated lights, etc. (Do not dress as Santa or Mrs. Santa; Santa hats are fine)!
* We are not allowed to hand out anything to the crowds or let our dogs interact with them.
* Bring your own poop bags and dress warm!
* Bring your volunteer hours sheet and Amy will sign it for your 3 earned hours, or you can bring it to a meeting or leave it in her mailbox in the office.
If you are available to take photos at the parade, please contact Amy Schneider at amy@featherschneider.com.
Parade starts at 7 pm; please arrive at our staging point by 6:30. You are responsible for your own transport to/from the start/finish of the parade. (No vehicle drop-offs are allowed in the staging area; you’ll have to walk in.) See you there!
