7:00pm Thursday - Novice Coursework (Agility)

Dogs must be a minimum of 12 months old and in good athletic shape to take this class. Dogs can work off leash with another dog running a course sequence off leash in the ring next to them. Dogs should be confident on ALL agility obstacles at full height and completing 12 weave poles with minimal “help” from handler or training devices. In this class, the skills learned in Obstacle Proficiency & Proofing and Basic Handling Skills will be combined. This class will prepare dogs/handlers to compete in Agility Course Test I & II.

Pre-Requisite: In order to have success in this class, it is important that your dog willingly engages with you OFF LEASH. This class does require dogs to be confident on a full height Aframe, Dog Walk, & Teeter. Dogs should also be able to weave 6 poles in a straight line (guides can still be needed). This class also requires you to bring a crate and be able to leave your dog in a crate while you are practicing your own handling skills.

Classes cost $95 for 6 weeks. All dogs over 4 months of age are required to be up to date on their rabies and DHLPP vaccines.
