The Appleton Downtown Christmas Parade is scheduled for Tuesday, November 26th, 2019. The parade begins at 7:00 PM at the corner of State Street and College Avenue in downtown Appleton and travels east on College Avenue to Drew Street.
WDC is unit # 15. Members should arrive no later than 6:45 and meet on State Street between Lawrence & Eighth Street. Be sure to have your dog on a leash and remember to bring poop bags. Only members may bring dogs. New members who have not been voted in yet are welcome to walk with us, but cannot bring dogs. We do need people to carry the banner and we also have leashes with “invisible” dogs that you can use.
“That Holiday Feeling” is this year’s parade theme, with about 80 units including floats, decorated vehicles, walking units and animal entries.
Each year, over 80,000 spectators attend the parade. This year’s parade will be televised live at 7:00 pm by WFRV-TV. Local Channel 5 will also videotape the parade for rebroadcast on Saturday, November 30th at 11:30 am and Wednesday, December 25th at 5:30 am.
