Winnegamie Dog Club offers a variety of 6 week long training classes including Basic & Intermediate Manners, K9 Fitness, Trick Dog, Agility, Obedience, Rally, and Scent Work classes. WDC is run 100% by volunteers and has approximately 200 dogs register for classes each session. If you would like to join our email list for updates about training class and workshops, please fill out this form – WDC Training Class & Workshop Email List. If you have questions, please email [email protected] and one of the following people will get back to you – Jolene Johnson (Family Dog Program Registration), Korie Hansen (co Family Dog Director of Training), Marianne Laird (co Family Dog Director of Training), or Chelsea Wood (Performance Dog Program Registration & Agility Director of Training) Please be patient for a reply as we all have full time jobs in addition to answering Winnegamie Dog Club emails.
We do registration in 3 different steps.
*At all steps, it is important that you fill out the class registration form – NO DOG is automatically moved to the next session*
(1) All dogs on the waitlist from last session get to sign up first
(2) Continuing Student Sign Up will start
(3) New student registration starts – Links will be posted online
Classes do fill quickly (and some may fill from last session’s waitlist or with current students), but please make sure you sign up on the waitlist so that you get first dibs in the future (the waitlist is only available to sign up on during the registration period and if that class is currently being offered)
Students must register online during the registration period, no walk-ins for any classes accepted. Payment and Vaccination records are due the Tuesday before classes start.
Please keep your vaccination records up to date (DHLPP & Rabies is required) by sending your updated vaccination records to [email protected].
For puppies ONLY – Age appropriate shots are expected (they might not have gotten their 3rd DHLPP or Rabies yet), but talk to your veterinarian about coming to class before your puppy is fully vaccinated. We have over a 100 dogs visit our building each week and proof of vaccinations are not required for rental groups, so it is important that we protect our own dogs.
